About me
Hi, I’m Katrinia Colean, the bougie crafter behind Journey 2 Destiny Designs.
Why “bougie”? Not because of labels or luxury, but because every creative piece is thoughtfully crafted with intention, quality, and a touch of elevated detail. To me, bougie means turning everyday materials into meaningful, beautifully designed creations that feel special, personal, and made with care.
I’m a self-taught crafter and artist with a lifelong love for art and creativity. While art has always been a passion of mine, crafting became a deeper part of my life later on — evolving into something far more meaningful.
After the passing of my daughter, Destiny, I discovered that my passion for art and crafting had a purpose beyond creativity. During my time of grieving, it became my safe haven — a place of healing, reflection, and peace. Through every brush stroke and every carefully placed ribbon, I found comfort and strength.
Journey 2 Destiny Designs was founded in 2015 and lovingly named after my daughters, Journey and Destiny. Although Destiny now lives in heaven, her legacy continues here with us, woven into every design and creative experience I share. My mission is to inspire others to embrace their own creativity and to offer a space where art can be an outlet, a source of joy, and a little sunshine on even the cloudiest days.
